ARCADIA WAS INCREDIBLE. Arcadia is probably the most prestigious in season track meet in the entire country. The best athletes come from all around to compete and drop fast times. My goal this year is to qualify for the Brooks PR invitation at the end of the season. In order to do this I will likely have to run an 8:55 equivalent in 3200m. My goal for Arcadia was to dip under 9. Unfortunately, the day before I left I got sick. It was the most horribly timed thing ever. I ended up running 9:08 for the #2 fastest sophomore time in the nation, but a little short of my goal.
Considering that I wasnt feeling 100%, I was still stoked! I also have to apologize for some of the camera quality! At meets like this it can be super hard to balance the stress of filming and focusing on the race. Maybe my favorite thing about the was being able to see all of my NXN friends and hangout with some really awesome athletes that inspire me. Running under the lights was very surreal, I can’t wait to comeback next year and hopefully run a lot faster! THANKS EMILY SLOAN FOR BEING MY ARCADIA PROM DATE
